    COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST (CUET)

According to the latest announcement made by the University Grants Commission (UGC), it has introduced the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which has been made mandatory for undergraduate admission at any of the 45 central university in the country. The CUET UG – 2022 is being initiated to curtail the practice of using a student’s Board marks to determine his/her eligibility to get admission to a college. With CUET UG – 2022, sky-high cut-off marks will be a thing of the past.

    Why a common entrance test?

Several governments, over the years, have made attempts to replace multiple entrance tests with a single one to reduce the burden on higher education aspirants. The answer to their rigorous search was ultimately found in CUET UG – 2022.

CUET UG – 2022 is a revamped version of CUCET and it’s now compulsory for all 45 central universities to adopt it. This has come after the announcement of the new National Education Policy (NEP), which advocates the need for an entrance test for university admissions.
